The Guardian 100 Amp 120/240-volt service disconnect transfer switch monitors utility power. When utility power is interrupted, the transfer switch signals the generator to start. When utility voltage returns, the transfer switch returns the electrical load from the generator back to the utility. An automatic transfer switch is required to start QuietSource standby generators. This model provides the ability to power a home's entire distribution panel when relocating circuits to a separate sub-panel is not practical, and reduces labor-related installation costs.
This transfer switch features a dual coil design. All switch enclosures are powder-coated steel. The main contacts are silver-plated or silver alloy to resist welding and sticking. With two-pole 250-volt AC contactors, the transfer time when energized is only 160 milliseconds. Suitable as service entrance equipment, this transfer switch is UL Listed to U.S. and Canadian safety standards. It comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
